Why dry eyes?

Many factors can cause eyes to feel dry and tired:
• age, disease and medication
• environmental issues such as central heating, air conditioning, long hours on the computer, late nights at work, airplane travel, wind and dust

And with dry and tired eyes often comes the associated feeling of discomfort.

Dryness also accounts for many contact lens wearers giving up lenses for glasses.
